Happy Feast Day To Our Patroness

On The Feast Day Of Edith Stein — August 9th

We think that if the great Saint Edith Stein (Theresa Benedicta of the Cross) were alive today, she would be a tireless and undaunted champion of the true dignity of women, of their true “reproductive rights”, and of their true “reproductive freedom!”

Of course this would mean fighting against the counterfeit facsimile of these freedoms; namely contraception, sterilization, and abortion. May our society soon confront the false and demeaning contraceptive stereotype of woman that too often prevails, with the ugly and disparaging caricature of real womanhood within it.

May Saint Edith always bless our efforts with her shalom!

    Having lived through the times she did she would have recognized only too well the lies in such expressions as:

    Termination of pregnancy (a pregnancy terminates in the birth of a baby – it doesn’t need terminating by human intervention);

    Right to Choose (the time to choose is before you get pregnant, not afterwards – and the poor baby has no choice)

    Reproductive rights/freedom (strange name for something that is anything BUT reproductive as it is aiming to prevent reproduction)
