Start an ESF Group on Your Campus Today!
What are ESF Groups?
ESF Groups are emerging programs to educate and mobilize high school and college students in support of a non-contraceptive approach to reproductive health–the authentic reproductive right. Through ESF Groups, students across the country organize events on and off campus to raise public awareness about fertility-based and non-contraceptive reproductive rights, educate young people about sexual health, work with and support their local NFP and integrated health centers, and mobilize advocates of holistic women’s wellness.
How Can The Edith Stein Foundation Help Me on Campus?
We recognize the challenges of taking a non-contraceptive approach to wellness and family planning, and we are here to support you. Whether you have questions, need resources for articles, or need help publicizing your event, we’ve got you covered. We’re in the process of creating a starter’s kit. If there’s anything you really would like to see, let us know!
What Can Students Do to Support Authentic Women’s Wellness & Family Planning?
For starters:
1. Write to your student papers about the side effects of contraception, and alternative approaches to taking the Pill “for medical reasons,” and the benefits of “organic” family planning.
2. Invite a representative from The Edith Stein Foundation’s Speaker’s Bureau to talk about what’s at stake for authentic reproductive rights.
3. Start an annual arts contest to motivate Art majors and other creative students to write, compose, sing, sculpt, act or otherwise express authentic women’s dignity or the effects of a contraceptive culture.
4. Organize a group of people to volunteer at your local NFP Office.
